Blackstone-Bred Colt Brings $525,000 at F-T Midlantic

May 24, 2022

A Blackstone Farm-bred colt by sire sensation Gun Runner commanded $525,000 at the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic Two-Year-Old in Training sale. He was purchased by K. C. Weiner, and Peter & Ann Fluor´s Speedway Stables whose colors have been carried to major victories by the likes of Collected, Roadster, Hard Not To Like and last year´s juvenile champion Corniche.

The colt, consigned by de Meric Sales, is out of the Unbridled´s Song daughter Coppermine, already the dam of Stakes-placed Puca Penny. The $525,000 final bid makes him the second highest-priced two-year-old in Gun Runner´s second crop. He breezed in a visually impressive :10.1.

This is the second big-selling Gun Runner colt bred by Blackstone Farm after a $550,000 yearling out of Wembley, purchased by Lael Stables at last summer´s Fasig-Tipton Saratoga sale.
