Blackstone Farm-breds The Critical Way and Dance Code collected three combined Iroquois Awards, the top honors for Pennyslyvania-bred thoroughbreds. Blackstone Farm was also officially awarded as the Keystone State´s top breeder in two categories.

The Critical Way was named champion Turf Horse and Older Male for his stellar 7-year-old campaign in 2021. His season began on January 1 with a good 3rd in the Janus Stakes at Gulfstream Park and he competed solely in blacktype events over his next six starts, finishing off the board only once. The speedy son of Tizway out of the Star de Naskra mare Critical Factor scored in a trio of 6-figure stakes along the way culminating with a gritty nose victory in the Grade 3 Parx Dash Stakes. He earned $266,425 racing for Monster Racing in 2021, upping his career bankroll to $548,168.

Dance Code secured honors as champion 2-Year-Old Male with a sterling 2021 season of his own. He showed immediate promise, scoring in his June 28 debut at Parx for Richies World Stables LLC and trainer Juan Vazquez. That effort propelled him up to Saratoga for the Grade 3 Saratoga Special where he ran a strong 3rd to multiple graded stakes winner Wit. The son of Honor Code - Dancinginthestreet earned his first stakes trophy back at Parx with a wire-to-wire tally in the $100,000 Parx Juvenile on December 29.

The Critical Way and Dance Code helped Blackstone Farm lead all Pennsylvania breeders by 2021 earnings as well as by Breeder Awards earned. Blackstone Farm-breds racked up an impressive total of $2,521,960 in purse money collectively in 2021, much the best among PA breeders. Blackstone Farm´s Breeder Awards totaled $277,161 last year, leading all PA breeding operations for the third straight year.
