Blackstone Farm-bred Love in the Air gained the early advantage in the $100,000 Mrs. Penny Stakes at Parx and never looked back, rolling to a 6 length victory.
​
Owned by Main Line Racing Stable, ridden by Paco Lopez, and trained by John Servis, the 4-year-old filly by Constitution covered the 1 1/16 miles in 1:47.29. She was coming off a third-place finish to Princess Grace in the Grade 3 Dr. James Penny Memorial over the Parx turf course.

The Mrs. Penny S. was one of 7 blacktype events on the August 22 ´Pennsylvania´s Day at the Races´card at Parx. Blackstone Farm bred and owned juvenile Upstate and Back also placed in the Whistle Pig Stakes in his Stakes debut.

Love in the Air is the third new Blackstone Farm-bred Stakes winner in 2022 after Malvern Rose Stakes winner Roses for Debra and Nice Ace, winner of the Hard Spun Stakes. Nice Ace also added to his blacktype total on August 22 with a 3rd-place run in the $100,000 Peach Street Stakes at Presque Isle.
